Ocaquatics Designated a FORCE for GOOD!

We are thrilled to announce that Ocaquatics Swim School has become the first swim school in the world to achieve , Certified B Corporation® status. This designation is reserved for companies that demonstrate they are committed to being a force of good in the world with proven positive impacts on society and the environment. We are honored to join more than 5,600 companies worldwide in this endeavor!

Our Purpose is to make a positive difference for our team, our families, our community and our planet.

Our Mission is two-fold:

1) To teach our families to love swimming and become safer, more comfortable, and more responsible in, on, and around the water; and

2) To grow our team members within a framework of social and environmental responsibility, so that we grow our school in a sustainable way and make a difference in our community.

We want to balance purpose and profit while using the power of our business as a force for good. We have always tried to be a good company. When we discovered B Corp, we found a way to objectively measure ourselves and discovered implementable ideas for improvement.

The B Corp Certification process is governed by the non-profit, , B Lab® which verifies that a business is meeting rigorous standards of performance, accountability, and transparency for all stakeholders. Certified B Corps are for-profit companies that focus on a triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit while also using their business as a force for good.

The certification for Ocaquatics comes on the heels of a 3 year long process to align every aspect of the company with B Lab’s requirements. In that time, Ocaquatics has introduced multiple efforts towards a more sustainable business model, including being a member of , 1% For the Planet , , Certified Carbon Neutral , a partner of , Conscious Capitalism and a , Top Workplace ranking from the Sun Sentinel for the last 5 years.

As a Certified B Corp and Florida Benefit corporation, Ocaquatics continues to work everyday to become a better business for our swimmers, our team, our community and the planet. We are acting as the change we wish to see in the world!
