What do I need to bring to the first class?
- A bathing suit or Happy Nappy (for children under 3 years old or not fully potty trained)

How can I enroll in swim lessons?
- You can easily sign up online or through our app—whichever is more convenient for you!
When can I enroll my child?
- Our year round lessons make it possible for you to enroll at any time. If you will be enrolling in the middle of the month your tuition will be prorated to the amount of lessons you will be swimming.
How many times a week should my child swim?
- Through our experience we recommend swimming at least twice a week. Consistency and repetition is what helps reinforce your child's skills.
Do you offer at-home lessons?
- Right now, all our classes are held at our facilities for a fun, safe environment.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
- Service is most important to us. We offer one FREE makeup token on your Ocaquatics account per missed class depending on how many times a week you swim with us that can be used within 60 days.
How many other swimmers will be in my child's lesson?
- Each lesson is designed with a small swimmer-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized attention and effective learning. The exact numbers vary depending on the lesson type and child's age, as we aim to keep classes small for an optimal experience. Our lessons have a 3 to 1 swimmer-to-instructor ratio, with the exception of our Parent and Me classes and higher levels where our swimmers practice longer distance laps.
Would my child keep the same instructor each week?
- We understand the importance of consistency for your child’s progress. While we make every effort to keep the same instructor weekly, occasional changes may occur due to scheduling or unforeseen circumstances. We will always provide a qualified substitute and are happy to provide a complimentary class if needed.
Payments
What are the monthly payment details?
- We recommend at least swimming twice a week for consistency, with a monthly cost of $256 based on a four-week month. Payments are billed on the 20th of each month, and you can conveniently view all payment details in our app.
Are there any membership fees?
- NO! We only charge your monthly tuition and there are no registration, membership or un-enrollment fees.
What is our refund policy?
- We prioritize customer satisfaction and offer credit on your Ocaquatics account for unused future swimming lessons. For additional assistance, please contact our team directly.
What payment methods are accepted?
- To facilitate your experience we offer various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and ACH payments.
Are there any discounts or promotions available?
- Our enrolled families can enjoy various raffles and promotions throughout the year, such as our "Refer a Friend" program. Since we don’t charge registration or drop fees, our lessons are set at standard rates. Follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed about our latest promotions.
Swim Lessons
What types of swim lessons do we offer?
- We provide a variety of lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including Parent and Me classes, beginner to advanced swim lessons, and specialized training sessions. There’s a class for everyone, from infants to adults!
Why should my child swim year round?
- Swimming throughout the year helps your child enhance their skills and ensures they remain safer in the water. Continuous practice fosters confidence and better technique.
How long are the lessons?
- Our lessons are typically 28 minutes long—just the perfect amount of time for effective learning and fun.
How do I check my child's progress?
- You'll receive regular updates from instructors, and you can also monitor progress through our app.
What certifications do our instructors have?
- Our instructors have the opportunity to get certified in shallow water lifeguarding, Water Safety Instruction (WSI), and CPR, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide an effective learning environment with a focus on safety for your child.
At what age should my child start swimming lessons?
- Children can begin swimming lessons as early as six months old with Ocaquatics—there's no such thing as starting too soon! Early exposure helps them develop essential skills and comfort in the water.

What is our water temperature?
- We maintain our pools at a comfortable 90°F year round, creating an ideal environment for learning and enjoyment for all ages.
How do we maintain water quality?
- Our team tests the water several times daily, supported by specialized pool equipment to maintain cleanliness. Our comprehensive maintenance process includes continuous filtration, and precise chemical balancing to ensure a hygienic environment for all swimmers. While the Florida Department of Health requires commercial pools to filter water every 6 hours, our turnover rate is every 90 minutes, exceeding state standards.
